The Master of Nursing (Coursework and Research) aims to provide advanced studies in nursing practice and research to prepare nurses to contribute to the present and future development of health care services and the nursing profession.
In addition to developing specialist nursing skills and competencies, you will have the opportunity to conduct research in an area of interest with the support of individualised supervision.

You will become competent at reviewing, critiquing and synthesising literature to support your research, and will develop skills for completion and submission of research grant proposals for ethical approval and funding applications.
What you will study
Throughout the program, you will be introduced to the drivers for research within industry and the broader community, learn to identify and apply appropriate research paradigms and methods, and develop sound project management skills. Core topics cover areas such as approaches to research designs, introduction to research, developing a literature review, and writing research proposals for ethical and funding requirements. You will also select a number of option topics and undertake a research project/thesis.
